真假院

项目位于一个展示传统建筑的主题园林内，各种类型和等级的中国古典样式的建筑在这里被奇幻地并置。本项目是将其中一座四合院改造为一个建筑事务所，设计的核心议题被设定为建筑事务所如何置身于这样一个“假”的建筑内。

真假院是对粗浅，甚至错误模仿的批判。这座假四合院被视为一个1:1的庞大仿真模型，并在设计中被推向模型化的极致：原有的建筑构件全部被涂白，抹去其材料性，只保留形式，被替换下的花窗构件成为大尺度的饰品。院门和外墙则保留了原状，因此院门内外形成了巨大的感知反差：从公园里看，四合院依然是一个仿佛真切的传统旧物；而在四合院内，虚假的仿古被真诚地告诉观众。

 

Courtyard VIRTUAL locates in a theme park where various types and classes of traditional Chinese buildings are piled together without context. This project is a renovation of one of the Beijing courtyard buildings into an office for an architecture firm, the key design issue is how to place an architecture firm into a 'fake' architecture.

 

As a criticism on the superficial or even wrong imitation, the original courtyard was viewed as a 1:1 scale architecture model, the idea of which was pushed to its extreme in this renovation: the original architecture elements are all painted white, retaining their forms, but erasing their material properties. The gate and the courtyard walls keep intact, leading to a strong contrast between inside and outside of the courtyard: from outside, the courtyard is still a traditional looking object, while from inside, its imitations are revealed to the visitors.
